If you have a Verifone terminal which suddenly returns an "Offline" status, it may be due to:
Verifone network issue
Local wifi, 4G or connection with the network
Poor wifi connection from other near by network interference (note Malls or shopping centres can cause disruption to your wifi network)
Terminal loss of comms with Verifone network
The following checks should be made:
Turn the terminal OFF then ON and see if a hard reboot reconnects the network. If not, then continue with these steps.
Press X button, then *999 to access the settings.
Locate the Logon option and select. If this returns an error, then the the INIT RKI needs to be reconfigured.
If the terminal continues to drop its connection, then either connecting via data sim card or direct via an ethernet cable is needed.
