If you've connected an Epson thermal printer and are getting an "Network Error", then it may be due to the epos-print setting being disabled. Printers that are not affected by this issue include:
TM-m30
TM-m30II
TM-m30II-H
TM-m30II-S
Epson Printer models that are affected and need the epos setting enabled are:
TM-T20II-i
TM-T70-i
TM-T82II-i
TM-T83II-i
TM-T70
TM-T82II
TM-T83-II
TM-T88IV
On a computer browser (we recommend a laptop or desktop) that is connected on the same internet network as the printer, type in the printers IP address into the search bar i.e. 192.168.1.89
Note: Your browser may prompt a local network security prompt, accept this to access the Epson printer settings.
Enter the user name 'epson' and the password which is the serial number of the printer. If this does not work, try both the login and the password as 'epson'.
Once the Epson print settings are accesses:
Look for the option on the left menu titled "Epos-print configuration".
Select, Epos-print configuration
Then change the disabled status to "Enabled". Click "Send"
Turn the printer OFF, then ON to apply the change at the printer level.
On the Host merchant app, delete the printer you were adding, then add a new printer using the IP address and details of the printer you've just updated.
Select the Save option, ensure "Enabled" is selected then press "Test". A small slip will print from the printer to indicate a live connection.
If the above does not rectify the network error, double check the IP address is correct, there are no spaces before or after and that the model of the Epson printer is also correct. If these procedures don't resolve the issue, then contact Host support.
