If your EFTPOS is not responding with the Kiosk or the POS, it may be caused by the following reasons:

  1. EFTPOS session is out of sync or has bad data.

  2. Internet or WIFI connection has been lost or interrupted to the EFTPOS.

  3. Hardware is out dated and needs a software update.

Typically the reason is due to options 1 or 2 above and needs a power reboot. Try the following options:

  1. Check the connectivity icon is illuminated showing that the terminal has internet connection.

  2. POWER the terminal off, then POWER back on and wait for the terminal to return to the idle screen.

  3. Place an order via the kiosk or POS to check the payment command is being sent to the terminal.

  4. If that is still not working, try these options:

    1. Host merchant app. Go to Settings, then POS settings, select 'Check terminal status' and see if the terminal is still paired with your Host account. If not, go through the pairing process.

    2. On the Kiosk. Navigate to the cart screen, select the unlock icon and unlock the kiosk session. Go through the start up process by selecting the shop kiosk and then press 'Check terminal status'. If the terminal is paired, re-enter the kiosk mode and test and order. If the terminal is not paired, go through the pairing process.
