🧾 Setting up automated docket printing

How to set up your docket printers and configure what products your want printed

Most venues will configure their docket printers so that specific products print to a designated printer such as hot drinks to a front of house printer and food to a kitchen printer.

Automated docket printing means as soon as an order is received at the merchant app, the app will push the order directly to the printing without need for manual printing. It is easy to setup via the Host merchant app and helps automate workflows for quick service.

First open the Host Merchant app and select Settings.

  1. Go to Printing settings, turn on the following switches:

    1. Receipt printing enabled

    2. Docket printing enabled

    3. Docket auto printing enabled

    4. Order Print auto-accept

    5. Docket printing queue (Beta).

    *The system will save after each change.

  2. Then select Add Printer, and add a name for the printer, its IP address, select 'Epson' as the brand, then select the model from the drop down box.

    Lastly, select the categories and highlight all of the menu categories you need to be printed on the docket. It's normal for all of the categories to be highlighted.

  3. Click Save, then place an order to test the printing, or use the 'Test print' button.
